Why Should We Pray?

God is sovereign. That means He exercises His kingly rule over all creation. He ordains whatsoever comes to pass. He is also omniscient, knowing all things. As Christians, we are called to pray, but why? What can we tell God that He doesn’t already know? What can our prayers do? With these questions in mind, Dr. J. Ligon Duncan explains why we should pray in light of God’s sovereignty.
