In the Great Commission, Jesus commands the church to baptize in the triune name of the Father, and of the Son, and the Holy Spirit. But before Jesus gave that command, John was baptizing people in the river Jordan. Was John’s baptism a fulfillment of the Great Commission? Was John’s baptism the same as the Apostle’s baptism?
