There are three things people underestimate concerning temptation. They are: human frailty; Satan's strength; and the intercessory power Jesus' prayers. A wrong understanding of any of these things can result in disaster. This is not only true for the average Christian, but is especially true for leaders in the church. In this message, Dr. John H. Dr. John H. Gerstner (1914-1996) was a professor of church history at Pittsburgh Theological Seminary and an authority on the life and theology of Jonathan Edwards. Gerstner counted among his students R.C. Sproul and wrote several books, including Jonathan Edwards, Evangelist.
