I & II Timothy

As his martyrdom approached, the Apostle Paul wrote letters to two young pastors—Timothy and Titus—to prepare them for the challenges ahead. These letters, called the Pastoral Epistles, give us some of the Bible’s clearest teaching on the orderly governing of the church and the necessary character traits of its leaders. Paul’s correspondence with Timothy particularly provides a personal glimpse into the Apostle’s character and his determination to pass on the Christian faith to the next generation. In this message, Dr. R.C. Sproul discusses the important instruction that these letters provide the church today.
