What part does the Christian play in the plan of salvation, if any? If salvation hinges on our performance, then our confidence is only as good as our latest good work. But Ephesians chapter 2 says that our salvation is by faith, and not of works lest any man should boast. But if salvation is all of God, then why should we do anything? Why does Paul tell us to strive, and to work out our salvation with fear and trembling? Dr. Sproul will examine these questions here in the lecture, “Persevering in the Faith."
