Praying with Paul

It is common for Christians to struggle in their prayer life. Prayer can feel strange because in the world, maturity is marked by growth in independence. But in the Christian life, maturity is marked by a greater dependence on the Lord. Sometimes, we feel disconnected from God and need guidance. Other times, we disproportionately pray focused on material things in comparison with spiritual blessings, and we can be confused about the purpose of prayer. In this lesson, Rev. Kim examines the Apostle Paul’s prayer in Colossians 1, making four observations about prayer to instruct our own pursuit of God in prayer.
