Theological Doxology

Theology reflects our understanding of who God is and what He has done. Doxology is our worship and praise of God. The two must not be separated. In the same way that you cannot have un-theological doxology—which is idolatry—theology without doxology is stale, empty, and full of unbelief. Paul always holds theology and doxology together, and they mutually build on each other. Knowing and engaging the true God in Christ occurs through theological doxology. Jesus is at the center of our theology and doxology. In this lesson, Rev. Kim explains why theological doxology is necessary and how Christ Jesus is at the foundation of both.
