Because of His infinite greatness, Jesus far exceeds all that we can imagine, surpassing our expectations. But there are also times when He bypasses people's expectations, that is, He doesn't fulfill what they were expecting. This sort of thing happened to the people of Israel including Jesus' own disciples when Jesus didn't fulfill their expectations of what the Messiah was supposed to be. In this message, Dr. Sproul takes us back to the book of Isaiah to remind us of God's portrait of the Messiah, as he looks at "The Servant of the Lord."
