Some of the deepest and longest lasting divisions in the church are the result of disagreements about what the Bible teaches concerning the church, worship, and the sacraments. This raises one of the more serious difficulties that Christian leaders face because while acknowledging these differences, as Ligon Duncan explains, Christian leaders in the church remain responsible for teaching the truth.
