We have followed the tale of American church history from its beginning until our present time. In our study, we have seen the consistency of two paths—cultural accommodation and confessional affirmation. In this lesson, Dr. Nichols reviews American Christianity according to the various accommodations made by the church. As he looks ahead and asks “What’s next?” he explains the message we can and must cling to as we move forward as Christians who hold to confessional affirmation.
