Zeus and Hermes
During the Apostle Paul’s first missionary journey, there was a serious case of mistaken identity. The people of Lystra thought Paul was the Greek god Hermes and Barnabas was Zeus. We might expect that from ancient people outside the church, but as Dr. Sproul explains in “Zeus and Hermes,” there are many who are just as susceptible to committing similar errors.
