The Church

Christianity and Liberalism ends with a chapter on the doctrine of the church. This was a doctrine near to J. Gresham Machen’s heart. He helped form a new Presbyterian denomination in hopes that the church would remain pure in its teaching, and he founded a new theological seminary so that ministers would be thoroughly trained to edify the church. In this lesson, Dr. Nichols concludes this series by helping us see that the church has the same calling today as it did in Machen’s day.
