Elohim (Part 2)

In the Hebrew language, the word 'elohim' was used to refer to the many false gods. Ironically it was also used in Scripture for the One true God who created all things. Why do the authors of Scripture use a plural name for God? Is Elohim a cryptic revelation of the doctrine of the Trinity?
