Our understanding of when and how the New Testament canon came about is profoundly shaped by our perception of what canon is. Patterson Professor of New Testament and Early Christianity at Reformed Theological Seminary in Charlotte, N.C., and teacher in residence at Christ Covenant Church in Matthew, N.C. He is author of many books, including Surviving Religion 101, Christianity at the Crossroads, and Canon Revisited.
