A Son of Thunder
There was great animosity between the Jews and the Samaritans of the first century. It was therefore contrary to expectations that Jesus’ ministry would extend to the Samaritans. John himself showed hotheaded anger toward the Samaritans in one instance. In this lesson, Dr. Thomas recounts Jesus’ interactions with the Samaritans and traces the great change in John’s attitude, effected by the example of Jesus.
