Elect Exiles

What is our identity as the people of God? The Apostle Peter describes us as “elect exiles,” chosen according to the Father’s foreknowledge, in the Holy Spirit’s sanctification, and for obedience to Christ and the sprinkling of His blood. This order of salvation, as it is applied to us, makes the church an exilic community, one that lives outside its true heavenly home until the renewal of all things. In this message, Ken Mbugua walks us through 1 Peter 1:1–2 and its teaching on the order of salvation.
