God always keeps His word—and so should we. Today, R.C. Sproul exhorts us to be people of the Word and people of our word.
Transcript
The basic difference between me and God is that God by nature in His purity is a covenant keeper. His Word is absolutely true. His is always yea and amen, where I am a fallen creature. And by nature, I’m a covenant breaker who speaks with a forked tongue. When we come to Christ, this has to change. That we’re to be people of the Word and people of the truth, who guard our words carefully, who keep our promises, who mean what they say and say what they mean. Protect your word as the most precious possession that you have. Because by it, the trust of others will stand or fall.
