Foretaste: The Resurrection in the Rest of the New Testament

When you think about the gospel, what aspects of Christ’s person and work stand out to you as important? Is it His love? Is it that He’s Immanuel, God with us? Perhaps you think of Christ’s penal substitutionary atonement on the cross. In this lesson, Dr. Fluhrer demonstrates how the resurrection of Jesus Christ confirms all these great aspects of Christ’s ministry and drove the early church to proclaim the gospel with boldness. We will consider how the reality of Christ’s resurrection transports us from this present evil age into a new age of the Spirit.
