The Resurrection

Jesus’ death on the cross left His disciples in despair. As some of Christ’s followers laid His body in a tomb, they were burying their hopes that Jesus was the long-awaited Messiah. Even when reports reached them days later that Christ had risen from the grave, the brokenhearted disciples refused to believe—until Jesus met them face-to-face in His resurrected glory. In this message, Dr. R.C. Sproul considers the historical reality of Christ’s triumph over the grave. The resurrection is God’s proof to the world that Jesus is the Messiah and His atonement satisfied divine justice for the sins of His people.
