The Expansion of the Church

How did the first-century church grow from Jesus’ small band of Jewish followers into a multitude of believers throughout the Mediterranean world? Only by the power of the Holy Spirit. Just as Jesus had promised, the Spirit enabled the church to be Christ’s witnesses in Jerusalem, Judea, Samaria, and to the ends of the earth. In this message, Dr. R.C. Sproul outlines the book of Acts, surveying the work of the Holy Spirit in empowering the early church to make disciples among Jews and gentiles alike.
