The Triumphal Entry

As Jesus rode into Jerusalem on a donkey, He publicly identified Himself as Israel’s promised Messiah. Crowds lined the streets to give Him a royal welcome. However, Christ was not the sort of king that the people were seeking—a conqueror who would deliver them immediately from Roman oppression. It wouldn’t be long before the city’s shouts of victory were replaced with cries for Jesus to be crucified. In this message, Dr. R.C. Sproul considers Christ’s triumphal entry into Jerusalem and discusses the true nature of the victory He came to achieve.
