Pentecost

The day of Pentecost brought the fulfillment of Jesus’ promise to pour out the Holy Spirit upon His church. But this watershed moment also fulfilled an ancient prophecy that God revealed in the Old Testament. Whereas the Holy Spirit formerly anointed prophets, priests, and kings to fulfill their unique roles in history, the day had finally arrived when God would empower all of His people for ministry. In this message, Dr. R.C. Sproul examines the significance of Pentecost in the history of redemption and its relevance for Christians today.
