The Ascension

When Jesus told the disciples that He was going to leave them, they were overwhelmed with sorrow. But after Christ ascended into heaven, His disciples returned to Jerusalem rejoicing. We can’t possibly account for the change in their response unless we understand where Jesus was going and what He would be doing there. In this message, Dr. R.C. Sproul explains why the ascension of Christ should also bring us joy: Jesus ascended to His heavenly throne, where He reigns for His people until His return in the consummation of His glorious kingdom.
