The Birth of Jesus

Everyone expected the Messiah to be a conquering King. But Jesus did not come to the world in royal garb. Instead, He embraced a life of humiliation from His lowly birth. At the same time, the power of God was manifested in the birth of His Son to a virgin peasant girl and throughout Christ’s earthly life. The Lord of glory would deliver His people from their sins, but only as He assumed the posture of a servant and laid down His life in their place. In this message, Dr. R.C. Sproul considers the power and humility displayed in the birth of Jesus Christ.
