So...were you there or not? This may seem like a silly question, but remember, this was one of the first of many questions God had for his servant Job who struggled with God's providence. As we ourselves seek to understand God's providence, there is so much to consider. But there are two foundational things that we must understand before we can make sense of it all. Job had to learn these two things in the midst of severe suffering. From Job's perspective, all was against him, or so he thought.
