Misunderstood Doctrines (Seminar)

In this seminar, Dr. Sinclair Ferguson and Rev. Joel Kim cover several Christian doctrines that people commonly misunderstand, helping us to rightly understand our theology according to God’s Word.

Questions:

  1. When we think about the doctrine of God’s Sovereignty and Election, what do you say to someone that accuses that doctrine of making God unfair or unloving? (0:23)
  2. How do we balance God’s sovereignty and man’s responsibility without diminishing either of those? (8:28)
  3. What are some common misunderstandings regarding the two natures of Christ? (16:15)
  4. What are some common misunderstandings as it relates to the trinity? (27:34)
  5. How do we understand the role of Israel and the role of the church? (39:09)

Note: Answers given reflect the views of the individual speakers and do not necessarily reflect the views of Dr. R.C. Sproul and Ligonier Ministries. Here is our Statement of Faith.
