A questions and answers session with W. Robert Godfrey, Darrell Harrison, Ken Jones, and Stephen Nichols.
Questions:
- Why is church membership important? Is it merely a tradition or is there a Biblical and Theological basis for formal commitment to a local body? (0:46)
- I am studying the book of Job, and he says “I know that my redeemer lives” what are the people of Job’s Day looking toward/forward to in the afterlife do they have an idea of Heaven? (3:14)
- The Apostle Creed includes the phrase “He descended into Hell”, other creeds do not include it, as we look to Easter and Christ work on our behalf do you believe Christ descended into Hell? (7:00)
- Could you please share a definition and/or proper doctrine of the concept of revival? Should we be praying for revival in our church and our nation and be looking for it? (13:36)
- Teachers divide the law into civil, ceremonial, and moral, but Jesus said to practice all of the law and to teach it that not a dot or iota would fall away until heaven and earth pass away. Why do Christians not follow all aspects of the law? (29:22)
- Could you please explain the different wills of God? (31:14)
- Why does God seem far off at times? Especially in seasons of doubt and dryness, is this part of His sanctifying work or is it the result of our sin or both? (35:28)
Note: Answers given reflect the views of the individual speakers and do not necessarily reflect the views of Dr. R.C. Sproul and Ligonier Ministries. Here is our Statement of Faith.
