The Test

Scripture says that the fear of God is the beginning of wisdom. It also says that we can expect trials and tests throughout our lives. One of the best examples of fear and testing is found in the book of Genesis with the story of Joseph and his brothers. The test was ultimately a means to reconciliation, but as Josephs' brothers were experiencing the rigors of this test, they were gripped by an overwhelming sense of fear. How does this story speak to us today? What part does fear play in the life of the church? In this message, Dr. Sproul explains the rightful place fear has among the people of God.
