Solomon & the Temple

Solomon knew that he needed help from God in order to rule the kingdom that he inherited from his father David. So he asked the Lord for a heart of understanding to lead the people well, and King Solomon is famous for his extraordinary wisdom to this day. Of his many building projects, the greatest was the temple of the Lord in Jerusalem. Yet it was at the height of his wisdom and power that Solomon’s heart wandered from God. In this message, Dr. R.C. Sproul examines what went wrong.
