Tabitha, Full of Good Works

Throughout the first thirteen chapters of Acts, Peter is the central figure. He is preaching the gospel and healing the sick. In Acts 9, Peter is called to the house of a woman named Tabitha, who is also known as Dorcas. She was a woman who possessed great integrity and compassion, which both expressed themselves in her works. Tabitha died, and her friends called for Peter. In a unique moment, Peter sends everyone out, prays, and then raises her back to life. In this lesson, Dr. Thomas explains that although performing miracles was not the Apostles' mission, miracles did validate their office and calling.
