Moving beyond Jerusalem

Have you ever considered the transition from Israel’s being under the old covenant and being set apart by very distinctive laws to Christ’s fulfillment of the law and its application in the new covenant? This is where we find Peter in Acts 11. He is in the middle of trying to teach the Jewish Christians that the gospel was not solely for them, but that it was going forth to the nations. In this lesson, Dr. Thomas helps us understand the importance of this moment and how difficult it would have been in the life of Peter and as a paradigm shift for the Jerusalem church. This was a period of great change and transition as God moved to take the gospel to the ends of the earth.
