The Power of the Resurrection

Since the moment of Jesus’ resurrection, the validity of His rising from the dead and the surrounding events has been questioned. One may think even of Thomas’ reaction to the news of the resurrection (see John 20:24–29). Yet our faith rests on the resurrection of our Lord Jesus Christ. Why is the resurrection so central to the gospel and to our faith? In this lesson, Dr. Thomas describes the scene at the empty tomb and the reactions of various people. In particular, he explains the impact that the resurrection had on Peter and why the resurrection is both trustworthy and essential to our faith.
