The Threefold Denial

Have you ever had the thought: “I can’t believe Peter denied Jesus; I would never do that”? As we learned in the previous lesson, we need to check our overconfidence and pride in the same ways that Peter needed to do so. In this lesson, Dr. Thomas walks us through Peter’s denial of Jesus. It’s important to understand Peter and his motives so that we can learn from him and see our own propensities. There are valuable lessons for us in Peter’s failures because we, too, falter and fall. We need the mercy of the Savior just as much as Peter did.
