The Gospel Goes to the Gentiles

What do a sheet, animals of all kinds, and a command to “kill and eat” have to do with one another? These were all a part of the vision that Peter had in Joppa. Although it may sound a bit bizarre, it was a monumental moment in Peter’s life and in the life of the church. In this lesson, Dr. Thomas examines Peter’s vision in the context of the Old Testament ceremonial laws and how Peter’s sermon to Cornelius and his family sets the stage for the church’s understanding of the Jew and gentile relationship.
