Romans 8, though ending a major section in Paul’s letter, logically flows into Romans 9. Paul drives home the rich security we have in Christ in Romans 8, but he then needs to address a question that may loom larger in the mind of his readers: But what about Israel? In this lesson, Dr. Godfrey connects Romans 8 to Romans 9, showing the thematic unity between these chapters and transitioning into Paul’s next line of argument that runs through Romans 9–11.
