Rejoice in the Lord: Paul’s Letter to the Philippians

Paul continues his discussion of humility in Philippians 2 by sharing a final example of humility, a man named Epaphroditus. Although few Christians today know this man’s name, Epaphroditus would have been a familiar figure to the Philippian believers. He was one of their own, a member of their church who had been sent on a mission to deliver aid to Paul.
